  FIRST YEAR INNAGURATION PROGRAM HELD ON 17.12.2021.

The Inaugural program for I year was conducted grandly by Annai College of Engineering and Technology,Kumbakonam on 17.11.2021. The programme consisted of presentations, talks and showcasing the milestones of ACET in the indoor auditorium. As many as 229 students along with their parents took part in the celebration. The event started formally with instrumental performances by the Music Club followed by a prayer song. The NCC Boy & Girl Wing formations were also drawn cheers from the crowd amidst claps. The NSS volunteers shared their experiences with all details of TN State Government Prize winning activities they are doing. After welcoming the chief guest Mr.Jeevadawning,MS(UK),BOEING IND pvt.ltd. on to the Dias, the auspicious lamp lighting by the hands of new comers, began with much traditional values. They also offered floral tributes to the God for bestowing knowledge & wisdom to excel in their studies. On this occasion, Dr.G.Mahadevan.,ME.,Ph.D. Principal said that appropriate personality development is as much the need of the current set-up as the engineering course demands. At ACET, The students are trained to face the real life challenges with utmost competency. "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.", as Nelson Mandela, quoted to bring confidence into the young technocrats. Mr.M.I.Humayun Kabir, secretary ACET in his speech underlined the importance of discipline coordination, leadership skills and team work. He gave some valuable suggestions to the parents on monitoring the discipline of their wards regularly and requested cooperation in achieving complete success of entire system. The Inaugural session ended with formal National anthem as a token of respect towards nation. The whole programme was carried out by Student Activities Council (SAC) with much planning and execution. All the Heads of the Departments, faculty and staff participated in the induction and made it a grand success.

Displaying religious amity, students of diverse faiths celebrated SAMATHUVA PONGAL at the ANNAI COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOL0GY KUMBAKONAM. The college wore a festive look as the faculty, management staff and boys turned up in the traditional dhotis, while women management staff, faculty and girls in traditional wear. Students of all religions sinking their religious differences enthusiastically took part in the festival of harvest, also celebrated as ‘Tamizhar Thirunal’. .Girls, assisted by faculty, cooked Pongal and distributed it to all in the college, while others gathered hailed ‘Pongalo Pongal’.
